House

Welcome to the website for New Cottage, a lovely 4 bed, detached house tucked away among woodland in the heart of the New Forest near to the friendly village of Brockenhurst.

The house has been in my family home for over 40 years and is a very special place. Although it is only a short trip in to the village, which has all of the amenities you could want (including a direct railway station to London Waterloo), it has a lovely secluded feel about it. Even in the height of summer when the New Forest can have its fair share of visitors it feels like an enclave of peace and calm and you'll only have local deer and other wildlife to disturb you!

The house is the perfect spot for hikers and dog walkers as there are hundreds of miles of forest and moorland tracks accessed straight from the door. The same applies to horseriding and New Cottage even comes with its own 1/4 acre of paddock. If you require something larger there are plenty of other options for stabling close by.

Fallow Deer in PaddockNew Cottage has been recently renovated. We also had an efficient new boiler installed and a large area of solar panels fitted This coupled wth a clever system that switches on the immersion heater when we are generating excess energy and a cosy wood burner helps to keep energy bills down to a minimum.

We will be working away from the area for the foreseeable future and so are looking to rent out New Cottage on a medium or long term basis so if it sounds like the place for you then give us a call! You can arrange a cup of tea, have a good look around.

NB - All of the forest based & wildlife photographs on this website were taken within half a mile of house - a majority of of them were actually taken in the garden! All images © Joe Constable. To see more of his work or to order any prints go to his website www.unique-photography.co.uk
