The New Forest National Park lies on the south coast of England and is an area of outstanding natural beauty, internationally recognised as an important conservation area and site of special scientific interest. It is the largest area of forest, wetland, heath and unenclosed pastureland and in England and is also one of the most important areas for wildlife in western Europe.
The New Forest is rich with heritage and natural beauty. It’s the perfect haven for walking, cycling, and sight-seeing. As well as the Forest Ponies that run free, you’ll no doubt encounter a host of other wildlife including a lot of rare bird life and an abundance of mammals including the magnificant Red Deer, Britain's largest land animal.
As well as the stunning natural beauty, there are so many things to do and visit such as Hurst Castle, Bucklers Hard, Burley and Beaulieu Motor Museum.
The Solent is well known for it’s world-class sailing heritage but it is also a great location for kayaking, bird watching, windsurfing, paddle boarding, fishing and so much more.
Brockenhurst is only a few miles away from the sea. All along the coast there are stunning views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight (which is only a short ferry ride from Lymington.)
Whatever your reasons for moving to the area, New Cottage is a great place to explore all that this amazing part of the New Forest has to offer! |
